Nathan Grammer is a young New Zealand racing driver balancing school at Saint Kentigern College with a fast-developing motorsport career. He is the driver behind NG Racing, a New Zealand-based motorsport team competing nationally across multiple racing categories.

Motorsport has been part of Nathan’s life from the very beginning. At just three weeks old, he attended his first race meeting at Hampton Downs Motorsport Park, surrounded by family deeply involved in racing. With his mum, dad and uncle all competing in motorsport, the path into racing came naturally. Today, NG Racing continues to reflect that strong family foundation, supported by a close team of partners, crew and supporters who play an important role in every race weekend.

Nathan began karting at the age of 13 with Energy Corse NZ, building his racecraft through national competition before stepping into circuit racing. In 2025, his rookie season in car racing, Nathan joined Mackenzie Motorsport and finished third overall in the inaugural Toyota 86 Trophy Series, securing multiple podium finishes throughout the season.

That same year, Nathan was crowned the 2025 New Zealand 1-Hour Endurance Champion for Classes 4 & 5, following strong performances across both the North Island Endurance Series and South Island Endurance Series. Alongside endurance racing, he has continued developing through club racing with Auckland Car Club and GTRNZ, gaining valuable experience at circuits throughout New Zealand.

In 2026, Nathan returns to compete in the Toyota 86 Trophy Series under the Winter category while also contesting the New Zealand Endurance Championship. He also stepped into selected rounds of the Bridgestone GR86 Championship alongside Toyota Gazoo Racing New Zealand as part of his continued progression within national-level motorsport.

 

Looking ahead to the 2026/27 season, Nathan is preparing for a full campaign in the Bridgestone GR86 Championship, continuing to build experience against some of New Zealand’s top young racing talent while balancing school commitments and ongoing driver development.

Nathan has completed the Hampton Downs NZ Racing Academy, is recognised as a Young Guns driver, and works with Gus Lam Performance to maintain his physical and mental preparation for racing.

​

Through NG Racing, the focus remains on steady progression, strong partnerships and building a long-term future in motorsport. Nathan’s long-term aspirations include competing in the Summerset GT New Zealand Championship, expanding into Australian tin top racing categories, and ultimately racing on the international stage in the FIA World Endurance Championship (WEC). Every season is another step forward in that journey.
