After long drives and late nights by the team, it’s official, we’ve been crowned the New Zealand 1-Hour Endurance Champion for Class 4 & 5.

The title comes from combined results across both the North Island Endurance Series (NIERDC) and the South Island Endurance Series (SIERDC). We wrapped up 1st in Class 5 for the North and 3rd in Class 4 for the South, which together earned us the top spot across New Zealand. It’s still sinking in.

This season has been a huge learning curve, a mix of challenges, travel, wet weekends, and plenty of fine-tuning on and off the track. From hours in the pits to reviewing race data, every bit has helped us grow. There were long hauls between rounds and a few missed days at school, but every kilometre and every race made it worthwhile.

A massive thank you to Mackenzie Motorsport for the car and for creating an environment where everyone wants to do their best. To Sam and the crew, your work behind the scenes keeps everything running. To Mitch Sparrow, my #1 engineer, and Kaleb Ngatoa, thank you for the constant support, coaching, and encouragement all season.

Winning this championship means a lot. It shows what can happen when hard work, teamwork, and a shared goal all line up. I couldn’t be prouder to race alongside such an awesome group of people, and to see all the effort finally pay off.

Stay tuned as we head into the next race series, there’s plenty more to come.
