The 2025 Top Half Series was a mixed one, it started off tough at Te Puke, where I was taken out twice during the opening round. Across the series, we had four DNFs, which as any racer knows, always puts you on the back foot early on. Wet weather conditions didn’t make things easier either, with most rounds run in tricky, changeable conditions.
By the time we reached Hamilton for the final round, it was great to finally have a dry weekend and a chance to show what we could really do. We came away with results of P2, P6, and P8, and climbed from ninth to seventh in the overall championship standings.
Over the four rounds, I learnt a lot, both about driving and setup. The final round felt like a pivotal weekend in my two years of karting, giving us confidence that the setup is now in a really strong place moving forward.
A huge congratulations to the team at Energy Corse NZ for taking out Top Half Team of the Year!
Big thanks as always to: Mason Armstrong Motorsport, Urban Performance, Energy Corse NZ and Ryan Crombie.
And a massive thank you to all the volunteers and the Top Half Committee for putting together such an awesome series and event, your effort makes it all possible.
Now, it’s time to turn our focus to the Auckland Club Champs.
